Pink Elephant Products & Events L3C is located in Detroit, Michigan and provides Zero Waste Event Services and waste diversion consulting to corporate clients, small businesses, event planners and venues, and nonprofits in Southeastern Michigan.  Founded in 2015, the company also operates a retail store in Detroit's North End that offers refillable body and home care goods, zero waste lifestyle goods, and innovative point of sale compost and recycling programs.

We provide complete waste management and waste diversion services for your event.  We go far  beyond your event's low-hanging fruit - the aluminum cans and bottles.  We examine the event from planning and set up through take down to tackle the source of both back and front of house waste.  We work with your vendors to make the process easier.

Our services include composting of plate scrapings and compostable foodware, recycling of cans and glass bottles, and removal of trash if necessary.  We offer rental of bins for the collection and separation of compost, recyclables, and trash.  Whether your event is elegant or casual, we can provide certified compostable food ware suitable for your event style and budget.  We also get difficult to recycle event waste streams handle like plastic film and vinyl banners.

We measure the materials collected from your event by weight or volume so that you can share your event's waste diversion totals with stakeholders.

If desired, we can provide uniformed staff to manage waste for the duration of your event to ensure that bins are being used properly, materials are hauled away promptly, and any spills on the bins are cleaned up. We also train your volunteer 'Green Team' to handle on-site waste management to reduce costs.  We can also provide any necessary training or meetings with event catering staff and bartenders to ensure waste is handled properly and smoothly in both the back and front of the house.

Our staff of certified TRUE Advisors can provide guidance through the entire process of third party Zero Waste Event certification for your event.  TRUE (Total Resource Use and Efficiency) is administered by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) and is a complement to LEED.
